At The Nail Shop, everything we do is rooted in community.
Long before our online store opened in 2009, we created a dedicated nail forum—a space where professionals and enthusiasts could come together to share ideas, learn from one another, and celebrate creativity. That sense of connection has always been at the heart of who we are.
In 2015, our journey took on a deeper meaning when we welcomed our third child, who was born with spina bifida. This experience reshaped our perspective and strengthened our belief in the importance of support, connection, and creating spaces where people feel understood and empowered.
As our business grew, so did our mission.
During the COVID period, we saw firsthand how nails became more than just beauty—they became a way for people to connect, express themselves, and support their mental wellbeing. Whether it was learning a new skill, sharing moments with family, or simply taking time for self-care, nails played a powerful role in bringing people together.
While we’ve always proudly supported nail professionals, we’ve equally embraced hobbyists at every stage of their journey. Our goal has never been exclusive—it’s always been inclusive. Over the years, we’ve carefully curated a range of products designed not only for industry experts, but also for beginners looking to build confidence and skill.
One of our favourite traditions is our annual Halloween Nail Competition, where creativity takes centre stage. It’s a celebration of talent across all levels—bringing professionals and hobbyists together in a way that truly reflects our community spirit.
In 2026, we took an exciting step forward by moving to our new location in Ridgehaven. With a larger showroom and a dedicated nail table, we’re now able to offer hands-on support, guidance, and a more personal experience for our customers.
